i know we have all had the time in our airsoft career when we were low on cash. here are some alternatives to my $200 suit i use. a very easy one is to take spray glue with a old sweatshirt and pants, spray it on and lay burlap, fake or real grass/leaves and your done for like 20 bucks. now i know it will come off so just spray more on. Also, i am a hunter i found out that camo netting with a hole through the top makes a good cheap ghillie poncho. so just take this into consideration before you buy

For me, I don't use a ghillie, but I'd probably use the camo netting and grass/vegetation

like i said its a makeshift not my profesionall $200+ one Yea, I was just saying that I don't use one, but the netting would be my pic. BTW, $200? I mean no offense, but professionals make theirs and they cost >$75 most of the time. Did you order a pre-made from Ghilliesuits.com with the BDU and skid pads already attached or something?

This is a very good way to make a ghillie, nice idea. The real bush and tree would be very good...

Ghillie suits are definitely not imperative for a sniper, it just makes the job of staying hidden more difficult. I myself have only ever used anything like that and have had people walk within a foot of me and not know I was there.
If you can get into the cover of some deep shade or inside of a bush, then that is more effective than most ghillies.
I think the main point that I am trying to make is that there is almost no substitute for good cover.
The baggy BDU's is also a good idea... Would I be right in guessing 'reddeth', that you prefer the Marksman role? I think every sniper likes to get out there once and awhile (some more than others), to reach out an touch the opposition's support to advance your own squad.
