Does anyone use booby traps or land mines? I was just wondering because it seems like they would really help for security. in blind spots and for vehicle sabotage.

i dont like trip wires people get hurt.life is fragile on minute you could be in your back yard playing airsoft ,the next in a hospital a stick in your friends eye.do a trip claymore were it pulls out the wire when steped on

Great in theory, always a little tricky to get enough "bang for the buck" - my experience is that a good partner to watch your back is preferable. There are some very cool devices for sale, and lots of home-builts of course. I've done a lot of booby-trapping at some night games, I keep a bag of tricks and combat-engineering supplies handy for Scenario games ... I've even used halloween type sensor-equipped portable strobes and noise makers along with trip-wire type alarms.

The only problem with mines is that it takes a whole lot of 'em to be worth the trouble, and we all know how expensive "those blasted little doohickies" can be. One thing ive been thinking about somehow using a claymore mine with a trip cord (one that comes loose and a small firecracker. Since you are supposed to have an escape path/trail behind you at all times, it is then assumed that someone that would come up behind you would be on a/the trail. So you set up the claymore mine on the trail behind you, somehow connecting the firecracker to go off as the mine is set off. The pop from the firecracker would let you know that someone's behind you. Cons: You might blow your own guy up if he comes up behind you. There is no guarentee that someone (enemy) would be on the trail, so if he spotted the claymore then if he were smart he'd know that something fishy was goin on. Just an idia, but to answer your question, no, I dont really mess with mines. Josh

Ive actually escaped a few booby traps in my time. heather, Debra, and Stephanie were the hardest to spot. They would blend in their surroundings ,inflicting the most damage if its triggered.
