Hold it...
No offense but that sounds very, well, wrong to me... Is the thread trying to say clean the barrel with silicone spray, because cleaning a barrel with silicone based spray is common knowledge to me. If it's saying coat the inside of the barrel with silicone spray, well that would definitely decrease accuracy.
Every barrel will will increase in accuracy with a good clean, and what else is there to use other than a silicone based spray?! (Please don't say alcohol). If you were to look on ASR, you would see a thread like this, but it is simply entitled something like "how to clean a barrel".
Bottom line, a cleaned barrel is no replacement for a Tight Bore Barrel...
I'm going to lock this thread (within the week it will be deleted) until PM'd otherwise

hang on a sec, he wasn't just talking about cleaning the barrel, he was saying use car polish just like silicon spray. I don't see how that would decrease accuracy. I mean look at his groupings.

ben1123 - My extended apologies, I misread the thread completely, some how I even missed out the part about car polish (I was very tired at the time). Thread unlocked...
If anyone tries this then please review.
